Synopsis:

The Revenants are coming. Only recently woken from their centuries' long slumber, the dragons are unprepared to face them. But when a legend is uncovered, revealing the existence of a lost tribe of mages, hope flickers to life. The race is on as Tyler Durand and Anwen Kaida rush to find this missing tribe while the others prepare for their last stand. But time and numbers are against them, and Anwen fears that even if they find the lost mages, it will be too late.

First, let's take a look inside the book with this
Excerpt:

Anwen felt her heart palpitate painfully. It squeezed the breath from her lungs as fire coursed through her veins. She gasped out loud as pain similar to her soul scars flared with white-hot agony. But instead of centering on her limbs, the pain hit her side and chest. “No,” she exclaimed as she doubled over, realizing what it meant. “Tyler!” she screamed. The crystal sword fell from her hand, leaving her unarmed.
An image came to her mind as she lay on the ground, her whole body trembling. She could see Tyler wreathing on the ground like an agitated snake. Dark steam issued from a gaping wound across his side and middle. The wound frothed like an angry tide.

Loving the Book Party and Blitz Event

Welcome everyone, we are so excited to introduce you to all our new updates!!!  We have been working hard to redesign, remodel and rejuvenate Loving The Book and we want to share this exciting new look with you!

Today we are featuring a treasure hunt on the same Party and Blitz page and
The grand prize for the 2-day event is a KINDLE FIRE!

Things you may not know about
Loving The Book

Who are the team behind Loving The Book?

Becca Lamoreaux

Becca has a BA in English, Creative Writing, and has been doing work as a publicist for several years. She loves to throw parties and she loves to read books. Plus, as an author, she knew the struggles of getting a book noticed and the difficulty in marketing a new book. So she formed this business as a way to help other authors get their work seen and their books known.

Becca is married to a wonderful man who puts up with her crazy imagination, her super excitable personality, and her 2 pets (a puppy named Deise and a cat named Niku). When she is not creating and hosting events, she is reading, writing, playing instruments, and dancing in her kitchen while singing as loud as she can.

Reading books has been a part of her life for as long as she can remember and her love of writing came before she actually knew how to make letters. She squeezes writing time in between working, housework, and baking (which she is currently grounded from doing as her husband is blaming her for his weight gain.)

Katie Summerill

Katie has had a passion for books from the moment she learned how to read. In first grade, she received the award for most books read during the school year (352 books). In Jr. High, Katie would go to the library to get 2-3 books which she would read during classes and then after school return those books and check out 3-4 more to take home with her. She regularly got reprimanded for reading during classes. However with the onset of responsibilities, first getting a job, then getting married, going to university and having children, book reading has become a revered and eagerly anticipated activity.

Katie now lives in England with her husband and three lovely children. Activities she enjoys with her family are walking in the beautiful countryside, visiting sites of historical significance, and geocaching. Without her family’s involvement, she enjoys planning family holidays they will never take, sitting in a few blessed moments of silence, and of course, reading!

Abby Call

Abby is a senior in high school who has always loved reading all kinds of books. She is looking forward to graduation this spring and then pursuing a degree in psychology at a University. Abby hopes to use her training in psychology to help hospital patients cope with their illnesses.

Abby is the youngest of four children and a bit of a homebody who loves to spend time with her family and her two dogs, Beef and Boo. She also loves cooking, painting, and anything involving art. Although Abby prefers to be at home, she has had the wonderful opportunity to travel internationally and loves learning about other cultures and creating new friendships.

Nick Campbell

Nick is not a big reader and tends to fall asleep while reading books. However, he has a great love for graphic design and after studying graphic design in college started his own design company and created several large company logos. Nick now works at Costco and has designed several of their posters that you may have seen at the checkout stands. And while his graphic design has become more of a side business, Nick was excited to join the Loving the Book team because his wife is an author and he believed in their mission to help authors get seen.

Aubrey Baker

Aubrey is a Junior in high school who plays flute in the marching band has participated in many band competitions, winning many awards. She enjoys reading, poetry, math, riding her bike, music, and crafts.  Aubrey is the middle of three children with an older brother and a younger sister. She enjoys spending time with her pet Boa. While she does not yet know what she wants to be when she "grows up", she has considered doing something in the field of psychology.

Top Ten List:

Top Ten Favorite desserts

1- Ice cream. Who doesn’t love ice cream? It’s like the standard go to

2 – Cheesecake. What’s not to love? Especially if it’s one of those Oreo ones.

3 – Coconut cream pie. I don’t normally go for coconut, but there’s just something about it in pie form that can’t be denied.

4 – Brownies. What can I say besides Chocolate?

5 – Blintzes. If you haven’t tried them, you’re missing out. It’s like a crepe but not rolled, and it’s pan fried.

6 – Pudding, especially pistachio or cheesecake flavored, I mean, come on! It’s creamy. It’s rich. It’s prefect. And you can add in whatever you want.

7 – Cobbler, usually apple or peach. You’ve got that sweet crunchy stuff and that gooey filling. Yum.

8 – Chocolate Silk Pie. It’s Chocolate! In a graham cracker crust.

9 – Sugar Cookies, like the melt in your mouth coated with sugar kind, not the cheap tastes like flour stuff you get at the grocery store. Home made all the way!

10 – A Lie, if you don’t know what this is, you’re missing out. It’s a pie baked into a cake. (Some call it something along the lines of a cherpumpkin but my version’s better). Or if, you want to take it a step further, do a glacee pie backed into a giant brownie and decorate it like a cake to have a Conspiracy.)

Online Blog Tour and Treassure Hunt: The Last Motley by D.J. Edwardson

last motley fantasy book tour Welcome to the virtual book tour for The Last Motley by Grace Award nominated author DJ Edwardson. To celebrate the book's release the digital version is being offered at the special discounted price of 99 cents, now through February 17th. In addition, you're invited to come along on a virtual treasure hunt visiting some of the places featured in the novel. And to help you along your journey, we're giving away a few prizes, too. So how 'bout them apples? Today's stop is:

Iddlmar

This small fishing village is part of what is loosely known as Caledonia. Though not a land with any proper government, the cities along the coast pay a token amount to the Lord of Davinsmoor for some beneficial trade arrangements. The residents of Iddlmar have an uneasy peace with their eastern neighbors, the barbaric Iddlglim. Though the odd sheep or horse may go missing, the people of the coastal lands pass it over rather than risk greater conflict with their more volitle brethren. Iddlmar possesses no more than a handful of docks and a three inns. A low, crumbling wall surrounds the city, more a deterrent to unwanted wildlife than any sure defense from invasion. Inside the town one finds only the most rudimentary of establishments, bakers, butchers, blacksmiths, and of course shipwrights. Still, the view of the Neverless sea from the docks is simply gorgeous, especially at sunrise, for those few who manage to make it this far north. last motley map world of arinn iddlmar We hope you enjoyed this little glimpse into the world of Arinn. If this taste has you curious, be sure to check out the full length novel set in this world. This unique tale is not your typical fantasy novel, Yes, you'll find monsters, dungeons, harrowing escapes, magic portals, a humor, an ancient artifact, and much more but above all This is the story about the importance of family, faith, and the courage to do the right thing. Here's the official teaser:

Motleys. Candy-colored creatures with dark powers to drain the souls of men. That’s what Roderick always thought. Until he met one. Now he’s not so sure. But with seemingly everyone in the province hunting the motley down, he must quickly decide which side he’s on. Is the motley the living nightmare the legends say? Or just a child cursed by magic? Should Roderick save him from an awful fate, or turn him in? Either way, it seems like everyone wants to make sure that this will indeed be the last motley.
